Just watched one of Gary Vaynerchuk’s video in which he argues that to achieve the dream life of the 1% you have to do the 1% work (i.e., the hard work that only 1% of people do). This is an excellent reminder that to achieve the results that 1% of people have you have to do the work that only 1% of people do. It seems so simple and it’s but few people are actually willing to do the work.
I think that this is due to a combination of focusing on short-term outcomes and valuing signaling over substance. By this I mean that people prefer to show to other people that they’re worthy, successful, interesting, etc. rather than actually doing the work to be those things.
In any case, I encourage you to go watch the video because it’s definitely worth it.
