Quick reminder to self.

I tend to conduct lot of personal experiments to help me improve certain things in my life or just to try new things. Moving forward I am adopting a new approach to jumpstart these sorts of efforts.

Any new behavior that I want to adopt should be done in 2min or less.

Super simple. No exceptions. The purpose of this change is help overcome the analysis paralysis that comes with getting started with a habit or behavior that’s complex and maybe even intimidating.

If the behavior requires more than that then just break it down until you can fit it in that time. Once you master that behavior (after 1-2 weeks) start increasing the time you dedicate to it.

This approach is aligned with my what I’ve written on Kaizen philosophy and the importance of taking small steps towards continuous improvement so I am excited to see how much I can benefit from it.
